QR CODES (those funny looking squares) :
A QR code (quick response code) is a type of 2D bar code that is used to provide easy access to information through a smartphone or tablet. The code itself normally contains a direct link to a website or an invitation to access various pieces of digital information.
In this process (known as mobile tagging), the user opens a QR Code Reader app which works in conjunction with the phone/tablet’s camera. Once the app is open, the user then points their device at the QR code. The app then scans the QR code information, taking the user to the specific content.
QR CODE READER :
Readers of "Ghostly Encounters: Confessions of a Paranormal Investigator," can easily download a QR code reader to their smart phone or tablet, for free, through your device's mobile app store or places like the Google App Store. We prefer to use the "QR CODE READER" and "KAYWA READER" apps for the best scanning results. Readers who obtain an app will then be able to access the books digital content by scanning the various QR codes located throughout the book.
OTHER THAN THE QR CODE READER APP, you will neither need nor be asked to download any additional app or software.
Some readers will choose to use their personal computer or laptop to access the books extra features. In this case, a QR code reader will not be necessary. Every QR code in the book is accompanied by a BITLINK (shortened website link) that can be used to access the same digital content. Bitlink's are often referred to as short URL's and can be used in the same manner as a regular website link. The reader can enter the Bitlink into their browser and access the same digital content that is available to the QR code users.
"Ghostly Encounters : Confessions Of A Paranormal Investigator," was developed and written as an interactive reading experience. Throughout the text, the authors have placed several pieces of evidence that are easily accessible via the QR codes and/or BITLINKS.
