A QR code (quick response code) is a type of 2D bar code that is used to provide easy access to information through a smartphone or tablet. The code itself normally contains a direct link to a website or an invitation to access various pieces of digital information.
In this process (known as mobile tagging), the user opens a QR Code Reader app which works in conjunction with the phone/tablet’s camera. Once the app is open, the user then points their device at the QR code. The app then scans the QR code information, taking the user to the specific content.

Bitlink's are often referred to as short URL's and can be used in the same manner as a regular website link.
